777 BUS BACK TO BROADBEACH

We are calling for the 777 bus service between Gold Coast Airport and Broadbeach to be restored, rather than ending at Burleigh Heads.
While the new tram extension provides another option for getting around the Gold Coast, the 777 bus was a much faster and more direct way to travel between the airport and Broadbeach. It was also an iconic Gold Coast bus route that has been relied on by locals, tourists and airport travellers for years.
We believe the 777 should continue through to Broadbeach alongside the tram, giving passengers a choice between services and providing a quicker option for those travelling to and from Gold Coast Airport.
Bring back the 777 to Broadbeach!
Why is this important?
The 777 bus is an important service for both locals and visitors travelling between the Gold Coast Airport and the Gold Coast. Restoring the service to Broadbeach would provide passengers with a faster, more direct and convenient way to reach one of the Gold Coast’s busiest areas.
The new tram is a great addition to the Gold Coast, but having the 777 continue to Broadbeach would give people more choice when travelling. Not everyone wants or needs to take the longer tram journey, especially when travelling with luggage from the airport.
The 777 has also become an iconic part of the Gold Coast transport network and is well known by locals and tourists. We believe the tram and the 777 can work alongside each other, giving people different options rather than removing a service that many people value.
