Subject: Urgent Request for Allocation of Occupation Certificate — Westmead Catholic Schools Project
Dear Sir/Madam,
We write on behalf of the Westmead Catholic school community to formally request the urgent allocation of the Occupation Certificate (OC) for the Westmead Catholic Schools project. (Carpark on Darcy Road)
The school community has now been waiting an extended period for Council to issue the OC. This delay is having ongoing practical impacts, particularly in relation to traffic congestion and safety at the primary school entry. The timely allocation of the OC will enable the intended traffic improvements to take effect and significantly alleviate current pressures experienced by students, families, and staff during peak periods.
Given the importance of these safety and traffic management outcomes, we respectfully urge Council to prioritise the finalisation of this matter. The project works have been completed, and the school community is ready to proceed immediately upon issuance of the OC.
We would appreciate confirmation of the expected timeframe for allocation, as the new school is projected to finish mid year 2026 traffic is going to increase.
