No Retirement in Warfare: Divest Now
Subject: Urging our super fund to divest from Palantir and arms manufacturers
Dear Fellow Fund Member,
I am writing to you as a fellow member of Australian Super Fund to raise a serious concern about where our retirement savings are being invested.
Our hard earned super dollars are invested in major arms manufacturers and data-analytics companies. These companies supply weapons, military logistics, and surveillance technology used in active conflicts and human rights abuses, including Israel’s occupation and military operations in Palestine. These companies are Airbus SE, Bae Systems, Boeing Aerospace, Caterpillar Inc, Elbit Systems, General Dynamics, Honeywell Intl, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Palantir, Raytheon Tech/RTX Corp, Rhein Metall AG, Safran SA, Textron Inc and Thales group. Continuing to bank on militarism and human suffering conflicts with basic ethical standards and it also creates severe financial and reputational risks for us as members:
Ethical contradiction: Our super fund often promotes values around social responsibility, community well-being, and a safe future, yet profits from the destruction of human life.
Legal and financial risk: Under international law, involvement with illegal settlements and complicity in war crimes exposes these companies to growing regulatory backlash, sanctions, and financial volatility.
Precedent: Other Australian funds—such as HESTA and Vision Super—have already taken steps to divest from problematic holdings tied to the occupation, proving that change is possible.
I am asking you to join me in pressuring Australian Super Funds board of trustees to adopt strict ethical screening, rule out investments in controversial weapons and military tech, and publicly divest from Palantir and arms manufacturers.
Best regards,
Shannon Leard

Why is this important?
Join me to help pressure our super fund to do better. This is an arena where we actually have the power to create change and demand ethical investment of our money. Are you happy with your money being invested in war and destruction?
