ONE DAY WITHOUT MIGRANTS-AUS🇦🇺
ONE DAY WITHOUT MIGRANTS – AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺
A National Call for Unity, Fairness, Respect and Recognition
We call upon the Australian Government, the Prime Minister, the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, and all Members of Parliament to acknowledge the contributions of migrants and listen to the growing concerns of migrant communities across Australia.
Every single day, millions of migrants contribute to Australia’s economy and society. We work in hospitals, aged care, construction, transport, hospitality, automotive workshops, agriculture, education, retail and countless other industries.
We pay taxes, support local businesses, follow Australian laws and help build this nation’s future.
Yet many migrants feel increasingly unheard, undervalued and unfairly judged. Temporary visa holders, international students, skilled workers and permanent residents face challenges including visa uncertainty, rising living costs, workplace exploitation, discrimination and negative public attitudes towards immigration.
We are calling for ONE DAY WITHOUT MIGRANTS — a nationwide, voluntary day of peaceful solidarity.
On a nationally agreed date, we propose that migrants across Australia come together to demonstrate the importance of their contributions to the country.
We encourage participation through lawful and peaceful means, including approved leave, authorised industrial action where legally permitted, public gatherings and community awareness campaigns.
Our demands are simple:
- Greater recognition and respect for the contributions of migrants to Australia.
- Fair and transparent immigration policies that recognise the circumstances of temporary and permanent migrants.
- Stronger protection against discrimination, exploitation and unfair treatment.
- Meaningful consultation between the Australian Government and migrant communities.
- A national day of peaceful solidarity to raise awareness of the challenges migrants face.
Imagine Australia for just one day without the contributions of migrant workers.
This is not a movement against Australian citizens. It is not about dividing communities or disrespecting the country we have chosen to call home.
It is about reminding everyone that migrants are human beings with families, dreams, responsibilities and feelings.
We contribute to Australia because we believe in its values of fairness, opportunity and respect.
We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for fairness, dignity and a voice.
We urge the Australian Government to engage with migrant communities and take meaningful steps to address their concerns.
ONE DAY. ONE VOICE. ONE AUSTRALIA.

Why is this important?
Why One Day Without Migrants Matters 🇦🇺
Behind every migrant is a story of sacrifice, courage, hard work and hope.
Many of us left our families, friends and everything familiar behind to build a better future in Australia. We came here to study, work, contribute to society and become part of a country known for fairness, opportunity and multiculturalism.
We work long hours, pay taxes, follow the law, support local businesses and contribute to the communities we call home.
Yet behind these contributions, many migrants are struggling silently.
Some face uncertainty about their visas and futures. Others experience discrimination, negative stereotypes, workplace exploitation and the emotional pressure of feeling unwelcome in a country they have worked so hard to contribute to.
We are not just visa numbers, statistics or temporary workers. We are human beings.
We are parents, children, partners, students, professionals, tradespeople and essential workers. We have dreams, responsibilities and families who depend on us.
Australia is our home, whether we are here temporarily or permanently.
This campaign matters because migrants deserve to have their experiences heard and their contributions recognised.
One Day Without Migrants is a peaceful call for awareness, unity and mutual respect.
It is not about blaming Australians or creating division. It is about encouraging everyone to reflect on the value of migrants in our workplaces, communities and everyday lives.
We believe that a stronger Australia is one where people are treated with dignity, regardless of where they were born or what visa they hold.
Our message is simple:
We are not against Australia. We are part of Australia.
We do not want division. We want understanding.
We do not want special treatment. We want a fair go.
By supporting this petition, people from all backgrounds can help encourage constructive conversations, fairer treatment and meaningful recognition of migrant communities.
Let this be a movement built on peace, dignity, compassion and solidarity.
ONE DAY WITHOUT MIGRANTS. ONE VOICE FOR FAIRNESS. ONE AUSTRALIA FOR EVERYONE. 🇦🇺
