SAVE THE BRICKWORKS
Since December 2025, a group of teenage boys have been building bike jumps at Montrose Brickworks Mountain Bike Park, commonly known as Brickworks. Over this time, hundreds of boys and girls of all ages have enjoyed the opportunity to ride their bikes and utilise these jumps for hours every day. On some occasions, especially on weekends, up to 50 kids at a time have built and rode these jumps. We have been very mindful of other park users and ensured that existing accessibility has been maintained. Many park users have expressed their support of our jumps and often saying how it reminds them of their childhood with their mates enjoying the outdoors.
Furthermore we have made a conscious effort to keep the area clean of rubbish, often taking garbage bags and ensuring all rubbish is collected. In the area of the jumps and surrounding tracks, we have made sure not to damage any of the environment.
